STICK SHIFT is LAUNCHED:
5-7-08: Stick Shift the racing webcomic is created by Cook Bros. Comics and is intended for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. Just a quick hit here on the home page to remind you we've been updating Mondays over on Drunk Duck! Lots happening at my office but I'm still doing whatever it takes to hit that mark. There are times where I will update there first only because it's quicker. Gotta figure out a faster way to work our site, since, I am in the dark ages of HTML when it comes to updates. --SPC 5-3-08: Free Comic Book Day absolutely rocked! I brought home a huge stack of free books and made sure to contribute by buying a few more while I was there at my LCBS, Universe of Superheroes, and I even brought them a few of our minis. I was honestly shocked at how many books were being given away and stopped myself from taking more because I started feeling weird about it, like feeling a little greedy. --SPC 4-21-08: First and foremost - Stick Shift is a brand new webcomic created by Cook Bros. Comics and is intended for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. Looks like Monday updates are on cruise control. Todays update marks the end of our trailer episode where we were working out a look and feel for Stick Shift. I think we hit a high note here so go take a look - ended on a "punch-in-the-gut" sort of way. Next Monday will be our first update of the continuing stories of Stick Shift the websomic! Stay tuned! --SPC 4-12-08: First and foremost - Stick Shift is a brand new webcomic created by Cook Bros. Comics and is intended for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. Second - go check it out. We're just getting the ball rolling, have a few episodes live and are rocking it out with weekly updates. So far Mondays have been best for this but I'll see how it goes. Are the Cook Bros. having fun with this new comic? YES. You will too. --SPC
1-23-08: Well the parades were great, the accolades and awards appreciated, but now the buzz is over. Yes, we posted the last, well maybe not *LAST* Blast Asteroid webcomic and it's now time to dedicate our spare moments to a new endeavor called Stick Shift. We'll be in full launch mode come February. We have a few expeditions that are in the works before we can completely buckle in for this cool new ride. But in the meantime I'll post as many teasers and comps as I can. All I can really say now is we're very jazzed about this new project. Stick Shift is completely different from Blast Asteroid. Definitely not for the kiddies, Stick Shift is going to take Cook Bros. Comics in a completely different direction! Mom, you have been warned. Potty humor, naughty words, senseless violence, gratuitous (cartoon) nudity? YES. --SPC BLAST ASTEROID - LATEST WEBCOMIC:
1-18-08: New Blast Asteroid webcomic has been posted- click the thumbnail above! Now that's an action packed looking thumbnail if you ask me! Go ahead, whatcha waiting for? Click it - ya know you want to. --SPC PROMOTING OUR STUFF: 11-20-07: TheMidge28 gave us a cool plug with his awesome Bloodhound (Chapter One, Page 30) over on Drunk Duck - go check it out! 10-20-07: On top of all the Drunk Duck and The Gigcast/NightGig friends we've been making, I recently opened new accounts over at Webcomics Nation and Deviant Art, so watch for those to start growing over the next few weeks. I'll post more direct links when I have those pages active. --SPC BLAST ASTEROID - GENERAL NEWS: 1-18-08: Okay, the last Blast Asteroid and the Space Patrol was posted this morning - here comes the parade! It's been a fun run but for now we're gonna back burner Blast while we ramp up production on our new project Stick Shift. Stay tuned for more info but check out this teaser if you're curious. So excitin'!! --SPC 11-2-07: I haven't quite gotten the newest Blast ready yet and know I won't have it before the weekend, but in the meantime check out what our friend Madscott did for Halloween over on Drunk Duck! So cool - the guy rocks! 10-20-07: That's 2 updates in two weeks - what's going on here? The trick now is updating on the same day but we'll see how it goes. This current story arc is coming to a close soon so stay tuned for more! Speaking of which, we're up to Part 14 of an 18 Part series! We plan on collecting this series in a book but haven't come to a conclusion yet on who want to print it. Stay tuned for more news here. We're pretty excited about it so we're looking forward to some more concrete plans that we can announce as soon as possible. --SPC COMICS Etc.: 10-20-07: Podcast, Podcast, Podcasts. I am hooked. Go to Apple, download iTunes and get hooked yourself. I recommend The Gigcast, of course, but also anything with Scott Kurtz or Kristofer Straub in it. A coupla talented and very funny dudes! Most of the movies we've been renting just plain suck - BAD. Hollywood, what the heck is going on?!
